So, what do
Dextre audiences see?
First of all, realize that no two shows are exactly
alike. A live performance, by it's very nature,
can have a great variety of moments that are unique to
that one performance! Different stunts are planned
and presented to give the best impact based on venue,
demographic of the audience, available space and
facilities, time, and desires of the customer.
There are certain elements that are guaranteed to be in
every show:
Audience interaction: Almost all the stunts
in a Dextre Tripp Thrill Show require and showcase
participation of one or more audience member!
"A Dazzling Display of Daring Death Defying Doom":
This isn't just "bally-hoo", this is the real deal.
All of the stunts in a Dextre Tripp Thrill Show require
a great amount of skill and involve a certain element of
danger. In Dextre's own words, "Fear is fun!
I mean, we go on roller coasters because they scare us
and it's fun! We go to haunted houses or scary
movies that startle and jolt us because its fun!"
Look for anything from balancing on a tower of chairs,
balancing on ladders, juggling torches or even a
chainsaw!, slack-rope walking, slack-rope
unicycling (one of the few performers to do this
stunt), and (depending on venue) walking up a 20 foot
inclined rope on fire! For a more visual
idea of these stunts and others, visit the
photo gallery.
All presented with a sharp, street-smart wit and style
that harkens back to the days of Vaudeville!
